He scored 60 goals in 39 games for Everton during the 1927–1928 season, including seven hat-tricks and all five goals in the match against Manchester United. He also achieved a record-breaking 85 goals in 60 games in all appearances 1928 —a feat unmatched in English football. Dean’s physical presence, skill, and determination made him unstoppable, and he finished his Everton career with 383 goals in 433 appearances. Instrumental in Everton’s First Division titles in 1928 and 1932, and his legacy is rightly immortalised with a statue outside Goodison Park.
